"Strange things" will happen because bug in umb_init() code from k2035.
I hope, I solve these problems. Also note: both MS-EMM386 and QEMM join
video memory to base memory by itself.

indirectly, through RAM_size().

Of course. But if you need a lot of base memory for text-based program,
this is unimportant.
