Good.  FreeCol is in compliance.  One other point though, does the
LOS increase for naval units?

This is implemented.  A while back a brave volunteer did get us
some actual numbers for the LCR result probabilities, so what we have is
not too bad and I do not recommend spending any time there.  However see
below...

This is controlled by the "gifts" element within the indian-nation-type in
the specification.  Do you have suggestions for changes?

Do scouts with deSoto see burial grounds with treasure?  This would be
both good and bad, and I suspect it is currently not possible in FreeCol as
deSoto is knocking out the burial ground result.  If so, this would
be an error and would also possibly account for your impression.
