Well, in my case I have created a colony next to an enemy's one, as you can see in this snapshot: http://sperez.free.fr/imagehost/?img=61353015993.png So I could put strong units such as artillery and dragoons, and capture that colony next turn. Ok it's not that urgent, I'll add a BR to remember later.
