EPNO is endpoint number. 0 means control endpoint - don't use this. Try
some of the non-zero ones. It might be your lucky day ;-)

Also I suspect you need to use "dd" and not "cat":
dd if=firmware.bin of=/dev/usb/0.4.1 bs=512
