--- Comment #18 from Mike Karels <[email protected]> --- Commenting out EARLY_AP_STARTUP from the kernel config did not seem to change anything: the error message still repeats, and apcupsd loses contact with the UPS (probably never has it). I forgot to change the ident, but the APs were not started until nearly the end of autoconfiguration, just before attaching cd0 and mounting root. The error messages start after that, after finding several more USB devices.
