>Description: I try to setup HP Laserjet 1018 printer, i connect it to usb port and see in /var/log/messages: --------- Sep 11 17:31:47 pcbsd kernel: ulpt0: Hewlett-Packard HP LaserJet 1018, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 2, iclass 7/1 Sep 11 17:31:47 pcbsd kernel: ulpt0: using bi-directional mode ---------- then i use CUPS, or KDE wizard, with the same effect, i install printer, but if i try to print test page or some text i get "printer stoped" and nothing in logs. if i connect HP LJ 1300 by usb i get just the same thing. i tried to comment string #ulpt in kernel config, to get ugen0.1 device like it is adviced here http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/, but there is no effect< even after make install new kernel without ulpt(!!) i get in logs "Sep 11 17:31:47 pcbsd kernel: ulpt0: Hewlett-Packard HP LaserJet 1018, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 2, iclass 7/1" this is strange... I try to load the firmware onto the printer LJ1018 with cat /usr/local/share/foo2zjs/firmware/sihp1018.dl > /dev/ulpt0 nothing happens for a great while till /dev/ulpt0: Device busy pops up. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-usb To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
