I remember, adding an entry
xscreensaver &
should be fine. There are more than one binary installed,
so check out what they do:
xscreensaver xscreensaver-getimage-video
xscreensaver-command xscreensaver-gl-helper
xscreensaver-demo xscreensaver-hacks
xscreensaver-getimage xscreensaver-text
xscreensaver-getimage-file
Note there's also
% man xscreensaver
with some helpful information - launching and configuration
in detail.
