You can try to use the 32 bit compatibility (COMPAT32) and then run the 32 bit version of mplayer. As I do not own a 64 bit system, I can't be more specific. > > Going > > through "make config" in mplayer (or mencoder) is always > > a good choice. > > > > However, playing dvd's does not seem to work :( > I try to run > $ mplayer dvd://1 -dvd-device /dev/acd0 > and it complains about not finding some vob > Sorry for not posting exact error will do so tomorrow as soon as I can. This MAY be a codec problem. You can try the following: First mount the DVD (cd_9660), then use mplayer on one of the VOB files directly. Choose one of the bigger files for this test, and maybe use mplayer's -v option to get an idea what may be wrong - the program should tell you about this. -- Polytropon Magdeburg, Germany Happy FreeBSD user since 4.0 Andra moi ennepe, Mousa, ... _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[email protected]"
