ports-mgmt/poudriere vs. ports-mgmt/poudriere-devel ?

If poudriere-devel, in an appropriate *poudriere.conf are you using the
likes of:

MUTUALLY_EXCLUSIVE_BUILD_PACKAGES="llvm* rust* gcc*"

? (I use poudriere-devel and am not familiar with what is missing in
ports-mgmt/poudriere .)

Do build lang/pocl and emulators/rpcs3 ?

# grep -r LLVM21 /usr/ports/ | more
/usr/ports/lang/pocl/Makefile:OPTIONS_DEFAULT= LLVM21 OMP SHARED_LIBS TESTS
/usr/ports/lang/pocl/Makefile:OPTIONS_SINGLE_LLVM= LLVM17 LLVM18
LLVM19 LLVM20 LLVM21 LLVMDEFAULT
/usr/ports/lang/pocl/Makefile:LLVM21_DESC= Use llvm 21
/usr/ports/lang/pocl/Makefile:LLVM21_USES=
llvm:21,build,lib,run
/usr/ports/security/libgcrypt/Makefile:# FreeBSD with LLVM21 in base
supports AVX512

(Note the lack of LLVM22 support being indicated for lang/pocl .)

# grep -r LLVM22 /usr/ports/ | more
/usr/ports/emulators/rpcs3/Makefile:OPTIONS_DEFINE= ALSA EVDEV
FAUDIO JACK LLVM22 LTO OPENCV PULSEAUDIO SDL SNDIO VULKAN
/usr/ports/emulators/rpcs3/Makefile:OPTIONS_DEFAULT=EVDEV FAUDIO JACK
LLVM22 LTO OPENCV PULSEAUDIO SDL SNDIO VULKAN
/usr/ports/emulators/rpcs3/Makefile:LLVM22_DESC= LLVM
version recommended by upstream
/usr/ports/emulators/rpcs3/Makefile:LLVM22_LIB_DEPENDS=
libLLVM-22.so:devel/llvm22
/usr/ports/emulators/rpcs3/Makefile:LLVM22_VARS=
LLVM_DEP=build
/usr/ports/emulators/rpcs3/Makefile:LLVM22_VARS_OFF= LLVM_DEP=lib

(Note the explicit default being LLVM22.)

There is also a LLVM* subset in the likes of lang/rust . If a port LLVM
is to be used instead, rust constrains what LLVM versions are allowed in
building rust.

LLVM bitcode need not be forward or backward compatible between LLVM21
and LLVM22, for example.

The LLVM C++ API need not be compatible between LLVM21 and LLVM22, for
example.

main / CURRENT [so: 16] does not provide a general LLVM21, just
clang/clang++ and such produced via an internal LLVM21 variant. No
FreeBSD OS base provides a general LLVM* version.

I've no clue of the specifics of your build environment that might
contribute in your context.
