Please submit a bug report to the FreeBSD bugzilla at https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Since the port is orphaned, I assume that the upstream is no longer maintained and may no longer available for download. If you are willing to maintain the source and can make it available. github and sourceforge are to of the many places that may be used for this.
