Yes it is broken,

the logic that finds how much real memory is there in the FreeBSD

I am using the last version 4.2.12 that works

I am still waiting for the fix...

The current version of the port (virtualbox-ose-4.2.14_1) works for me
on my 9-STABLE box built in early May. The memory adjustment slider and
text box both let me adjust the values and the values are correct.

The previous rev of the port (virtualbox-ose-4.2.14) had the broken
memory calculation, but it was patched a few days ago as mentioned
earlier in this thread. Since I upgraded the port, I've had no problems.

The port was updated yesterday to 4.2.16, and the memory slider works in it here.
