I made a similar estimate "less than two days from now" more than two days ago :-|

i believe 15.0-ALPHA1 was delayed because of this.

At <https://www.freebsd.org/releases/15.0R/> the schedule does still show the /originally/ expected date (builds to begin tomorrow, Friday 5th September), however I'm fairly certain that the schedule will change. As things were seven hours ago:

A quick review of <https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/beefy18/build.html?mastername=main-amd64-default&build=p9652f95ce8e4_sb45a181a74c <https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/beefy18/build.html?mastername=main-amd64-default&build=p9652f95ce8e4_sb45a181a74c>>:

  *     95% complete after seventeen days
  *     1725 packages remain
  *     90 packages per hour, however the impulse (over the last ten
    minutes) is *much lower, whenever I look*
  *     x11/kde succeeded on Monday.

0.95 ÷ 17 ≈ 0.06, so, again, hopefully less than two days from now.

At the current impulse rate – high, relative to the lows that I have seen: 24 hours until completion (1350÷56). So I don't expect completion on the 5th.
