long time back there was a discussion about kerneld for FreeBSD.
some people have found it useless, but some not :)
anyway, alpha version of code can be found at sourceforge.net.

changes:
- minor bug fixes
- kd device improvements (now support select)
- kerneld now has access control list
to accept/deny request from users/group
