I have a Vaio Ultrabook with similar specs and am currently running 10-CURRENT on it. Please provide more details, such as what messages are you getting etc. Have you also tried a fresh install from a CD or USB stick? > Is it a deliberate chipset flaw by Intel as in *this low-end lappy is > not allowed to run anything else than WIN* or can I do something about > it?
