Ahem, it is Warner Losh :-). 

There was a problem in -stable (and likely -current) for some aha
cards.  The ahafetchtransinfo routine is called at probe time, so if
there are timeouts there and no where else they can be safely ignored,
even if it is an irritation.  I commited fixes to both -stable and
-current for this problem, so you might want to try post a May 14
kernel.
