I'm having the same problem with sources about 17:07 EST. (I'm MST.)
ROOT crystal:/usr/sup 251 > dir src-all
total 3656
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root wheel 3730624 Jan 17 15:07 checkouts.cvs:.
The patch did not help.
I'm re-cvsupping and trying again with and without the -DNOSHARED now.
