Specifically, from their conclusion:

"Any attempt to exclude ‘software inventions’ from patentability is
therefore likely to have wide-ranging and unintended consequences, all to
solve what seems largely to be a non-problem outside the minds and
writings of a vocal minority."

The issue is that they don't actually state what they think these
"wide-ranging and unintended consequences" are.

One could accuse them of intellectual cowardice. Or at the very least,
engaging in a campaign of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.
