Patrice was very discreet, indeed shy, but was a quiet presence on the Paris film scene for over 40 years. In addition to working steadily on a series of powerfully visual films (which he never really promoted), he monitored the work of others, and in recent years he served on the board of Light Cone. His intelligence and insight always made for interesting conversation and enjoyable evenings. He’ll be missed. Deke Dusinberre (Paris)
