Dear friends,

On the evening of Friday 24th May at 7.30pm, the internationally renowned
Canadian artist filmmaking collective ‘Film Farm’
<https://philiphoffman.ca/film-farm/> and artist filmmaker Karel Doing
<http://kareldoing.net/Biography.html> will present a special programme of
their 16mm films at Analogue Farm <https://www.analoguefarm.com/> in Whitworth,
Rossendale, UK.

Film Farm works have all been made since 1994 as a result of intensive
workshops for twelve different artists each year, some novices – some highly
experienced, who learn how to shoot, hand-process, tint/tone and edit 16mm
film. These handmade films have been produced in the countryside using methods
that increasingly involve experimentation with biodegradable photographic
chemistry.

Karel Doing was artist-in-residence at Film Farm in 2018. He will screen a
selection of works that showcase the 'phytogram' filmmaking method, which uses
the internal chemistry of plants to create photographic images. Karel is also
running a workshop from 10.30am-4pm the same day. Participants will learn a
simple hands-on process that yields spectacular results and can easily be
continued independently. The workshop is open to people age 12+ and no former
experience or knowledge is necessary.

The screening is free (suggested donation £3) Please book your place through
