Your confusion is understandable. Like many volunteer projects, documentation
sometimes doesn’t keep up with functionality.
The support is two-fold:
1. Convenience APIs to maintain (LDAP or Unix) groups.
2. RBAC Role group entity, along with admin and system APIs.
