The soundfont3 specification on GitHub has not been updated since August 2021. Because it is the principal soundfont compression format for open-source software, it is very important that it is standardised.
Are there any plans to standardise the soundfont3 format and create a well-defined specification that *other* programs can implement? And if not, should it be done?
