Apologies... all fixed. There was a symlink that wasn't right.

Thanks for your help.

Well, I removed fluidsynth with

sudo apt-get remove fluidsynth

did the git thing:

git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/fluidsynth/code-git fluidsynth

cmade it as per the instructions, and after getting rid of the old fluidsynth library, it works, but I still have the same problem. Telnet fails.

The git version says its 1.1.6 . Is that right?

Thanks for that.

Do I need to remove the installed fluidsynth before compiling from git?

Hi Ben,

this is a known problem:

I'm not sure if the fix has been included in a release yet, but getting the latest sources from git and recompiling should fix your problem.

All the best,

    I'm running 1.1.6-2 on my RPi2 (Debian), and I can't telnet to a
running fluidsynth. It connects (port 9800), then the connection
is immediately closed by the host.

    Any ideas?
