Hello,

I'm currently experimenting Fluidsynth with Portaudio extensions intensely, on
Windows XP and 7.

FluidSynth filters the devices offered by portaudio by channels, sorts them
alphabetically, and gives them names.
In certain cases, device names are doubled, and the Host API is extremely
difficult to identify.

Would it be possible to include an information about the Host API the
particular devices are using, into the name of the device FluidSynth is pulling
from the Portaudio devices list? It would simplify device identification
intensely.

e. g.
"SB Live! Audio [D080]" --> "WDMKS - SB Live! Audio [D080]"
"SB Live! Audio [D080]"--> "WASAPI - SB Live! Audio [D080]"
"SB Live! Audio [D080]" --> "Direct Sound - SB Live! Audio [D080]"

or something similar...

Many thanks for any support
Bernd Casper BCA.
