Seems to me your OpenGL doesn't work.
Maybe check /etc/X11/xorg.conf for the following settings:
Section "Device"
...
Driver "nvidia"
...
EndSection
Section "Module"
...
Load "glx"
...
EndSection
Does glxgears run ok?
Gentoo has a mechanism "eselect opengl nvidia" to set everything up,
SuSE should have a similar one and I'm sure it has. You could check
some (SuSE) forums in that direction.
