Hi,
It is not only PNG files that fail to load. Can you double check that you
have osgdb_{ac,png,rgb}.so plugins in some lib/osgPlugins-2.x.y directory
that FlightGear can find (e.g. the one of the standard lib directories or
a directory set in LD_LIBRARY_PATH)?
