I set one up for our local museum of flight, at East Fortune Airfield, Scotland.
They have an Avro Vulcan which flew into the airfield when it was "delivered"
to the museum, and the simulator allows visitors to try to land the Vulcan at
the airfield.
Hardware-wise the visuals are provided by a projector, and the visitors use a
joystick to control the aircraft.
In broad terms, I used the tutorial system to set up the initial position,
speed etc, and provide feedback ("You are too high"), plus a bit of Nasal to
change the view at appropriate moments and provide instructions.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, either on- or off-list.
