thanks, that solved the issue.

P.S.: The error message from flashrom did not match with the wiki;
("/dev/mem mmap failed: Operation not permitted" instead of 'Can't mmap
memory using /dev/mem: Invalid argument'); moreover, I'd upgrade
flashrom to the latest version. Therefore, it was not clear to me that
this part of the FAQ would concern my case.
