Here's another StackOverflow link <http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16651911/how-can-i-simulate-mobile-devices-and-debug-in-firefox-browser>. It talks about the built-in Firefox debugger rather than Firebug. And it seems to have emulations for various "screen sizes", including "custom", but I haven't figured out how to set the parameters for "custom" to know if it will work for resolutions used by printers.
