Years back, I had great success with fink. I recently downloaded macports with underwhelming luck. I don't even know how to uninstall it (my knowledge of *nix is almost zip these days.) Is it safe to install fink "over" macports, or should I first figure out how to uninstall macports? If anyone can point me to the latter if it's necessary, I would greatly appreciate it.
