No,  libsndfile1 failed.  kile-kde4-mac is utterly irrelevant to this 
failure.

It is not.
You've posted:

1)  An indication about a package which was successfully built (that's 
what the "New Package: ..." messages mean)
2)  The generic message which _literally every_ possible failure mode 
during the compile phase will generate.

You are going to need to look earlier on in your build log for a useful 
error message to report.  Start with the line of output just before 
error messages show up, and post that plus several lines of the 
subsequent test.
