One way is to use

pkgutil --file-info /usr/X11/lib/libX11.6.dylib

and check for the latest entry. Mine shows

pkgid: org.x.x11.pkg
pkg-version: 2.6.32
install-time: 1312852987
uid: 0
gid: 0
mode: 100755

Here's my last entry in that output:

pkgid: org.x.x11.pkg
pkg-version: 2.6.13
install-time: 1319172262
uid: 0
gid: 0
mode: 100755

That should do it. gmp uses gcc-4.2, and that isn't available in
Xcode-3.0.

I installed Xcode 3.14 and the build seems to be moving along thus far. I'll let you know how I make out.

Assuming that the build finishes successfully, then I can just run gimp2 from the command line, after starting the X11, correct?

Thanks.
