Would you consider providing releases of the following form:

  package-version.tar.gz

You provide the signature in that form; e.g.:

  fail2ban-0.10.0a1.tar.gz.asc

but not the package itself:

  0.10.0a1.tar.gz

The package-version form is very useful.  Some tools use the last
component of the URI to name the resultant file; e.g., wget in the
absence of unique/specialized command-line flags.  It is also convenient
for verifying signatures, as `gpg --verify sigfile' will automatically work.

xz-compressed tarballs are nice too, btw.  :)
