Pete is right, but if you have no backup, you might try to recover the deleted records of the sqlite3 database. - Identify the database to restore (e.g. ~/.cache/evolution/calendar/..../cache.db - save the database to an other location (e.g. ~/tmp) - have a look into the database using the sqlite3 command. - The table should be "ECacheObjects". - The relevant object is the VEVENT data stored in column "ECacheOBJ". - you can try to use tools like e.g. "undark", "SQLite Repair Tool", "SQLite Database Recovery" - Its a lot of work and success cannot be guaranteed.
So better use a backup and enter the missing entries manually. How do I restore old tasks? When you delete a task there is a confirmation popup which says "Allinformation on this task will be deleted and can not be restored." Sopresumably no, there isn't a restore. I suspect the best way of retrieving them is by restoring from a systembackup.
