This is odd. I don't see the above. It's working for me... and I don't know

Did you try to reproduce issue with nvidia/nouveau?
i have no nvidia driven devices ... :) blanking kicking in though should not
have anything to do with device as it's done in a generic way with a timer - so
if e is deciding to blank (fade to black) then it's not relevant what device
driver you may use.
same with ibar - it should have nothing to do with device driver - it's generic
event handling on objects plus the generic launch stuff...
It happens only with nvidia + wayland, never with nvidia + X => it seems
to be a wayland issue.

I tried again with same condition, nouveau, wayland, with recent efl-git
1.22.99.62181 and enlightenment-git 0.22.99.23556.
With software or gl rendering:
I set blanking to 5 minutes but screen blanks itself after one or two
seconds. I have to disable blanking to avoid that.
With software rendering:

With gl rendering:.
