I agree that they are very similar symptoms, but why would E randomly
reload an Xmodmap when I'm in the middle of typing é ?
I think it's likely something else, but I'd like to hear from Raster to
know for sure.

If I must, I will, I just hope it'll do the same than what I'm doing
today and that I can just source it from .xsession and that I won't have
to change some system wide settings.
