actually there are a set of 4 fonts it selects as default depending which it
finds. it looks in this order:

#define FONT_DEJAVU     "DejaVu Sans Mono:style=Book"
#define FONT_LIBERATION "Liberation Mono:style=Regular"
#define FONT_DROID      "Droid Sans Mono:style=Regular"
#define FONT_BITSTREAM  "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono:style=Roman"

first found wins. try the bitmap fonts. try others. there should be a looong
list.
