Just a quick follow-up... I ran a naked X session (no window manager, just an xterm), and this time xev shows there are keycodes detected when i press the brightness buttons. As expected, they're off by 8 from the terminal's keycodes. And xmodmap shows that these keycodes are what they're supposed to be:
keycode 232 = XF86MonBrightnessDown NoSymbol XF86MonBrightnessDown keycode 233 = XF86MonBrightnessUp NoSymbol XF86MonBrightnessUp So it seems that while E is running, something is intercepting these keypresses. Any clues? -Conrad. -- Whenever and wherever you want. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One dashboard for servers and applications across Physical-Virtual-Cloud Widest out-of-the-box monitoring support with 50+ applications Performance metrics, stats and reports that give you Actionable Insights Deep dive visibility with transaction tracing using APM Insight. http://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/290420510;117567292;y _______________________________________________ enlightenment-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-users
