I am also observing relatively high percentage CPU usage on e19, with a
RV730/M96-XT [Mobility Radeon HD 4670] card. Yes, I do have temp, cpu and
clock widgets running all the time, plus a stack of gkrellms. However, this
is what I have been running since e17 for years.
I run mpv and it is no different to mplayer with regards to CPU load.
