Thanks for the details.
So, if Xembed was removed, doesn't that kill systray altogether?
Connman, it doesn't do everything I need and I have over 200 safed
network-manager profiles, high cost of switching.
appindicator, I wasn't able to find out much about it, and remember, systray
doesn't look likeit even launches on my e19 (while it worked in e18).
But, I just found stalonetray, which just implements systray outside of the
WM and takes care of all my lost systray icons which I can now see again.
