xdg-utils was broken upstream for a while it used to detect 
enlightenment in the scripts, but not have a action defined. I fixed it 
around Christmas but its possible it wasn't picked up by debian yet. So 
have a look at your xdg-open script and see if enlightenment is detected 
and then if it actually does anything.
