O r does it mean gstreamer is not installed at > all. yes - i assume you initted the emotion object with the gstreamer module - right? emotion_object_init(obj, "gstreamer") before setting a file or doing anything (in git master this is now optional and it'll use a default engine anyway and thhis call is just to customize if desired). Yes, I had set the init to gstreamer. But it still it says no backend found. If you explain the procress how it finds the module or the .so file that it loads to connect to backend, I would be able to search for it. Inside modules, all I see is em_generic.so. Sathish -- I saw the link. There is nothing called efl 1.7.8. But I see emotion 1.7.8. Can just download emotion 1.7.8 and build it. I thought if I build efl, all the dependencies will be solved. If I just build emotion 1.7.8, it was asking encore, Eva's of the 1.7.8.
