Dear e-edevelopers,

firstly thank you for the way the E18 treats the multiple-screen setups.
The independent sets of virtual desktops for the screens is a far more
efficient approach than how this is treated in the other desktop
environments. In order to help E18 perfection, I would like to report few
issues connected with the Screen Setup that would be great if they are
fixed:

1) Once enabling a new screen, part of the configuration specific to the
2nd screen does not load/apply - typically the background image (copy of
the background from the 1st screen is used instead) and some systray
applications (usualy Skype) are kicked out from the systray module to
top-left corner of the 2nd screen. All these issues get fixed by doing E18
restart.

2) Occasionally, the "Screen Setup" does not see an already connected
second monitor, while other screen-setup applications like arandr does see
it.

3) Occasionally, different resolution is applied, despite what was
selected in the "Screen Setup" for the 2nd screen. Restarting E18 and
re-applying the correct resolution fixes the problem. However, again using
arandr the correct resolution is used on the first try.

4) In the "Screen Setup" dialog, while there is nice "automatic affinity"
of the screens to each other and to the edges in to horizonal direction,
the same feature is not working well in the vertical direction.

The issues 2) and 3) seem to be specific to connected the external
monitor.

PS: Just in case some of the issues are specific to the screens virtual
placement, my typical setup is having primary notebook display placed
under the external monitor, with the screens aligned by the left edge.

Best,
Pavel
