Re: fun and games with GDM "TryExec"

I set up a script as you suggested and referenced it in "TryExec" with
an explicit path. Enlightenment disappears from the menu and the script
does NOT appear to execute.

I noticed that "gnome.desktop" references "gnome-session" without a path
so I set up "TryExec=enlightenment-start" since "/usr/local/bin" is in
PATH. Enlightenment appears on the menu but does not run. The cursor
changes to an "X" and nothing else happens. Requires Ctrl-Alt-Backspace
to get back to the log-in and this may cause a lock-up requiring a
hardware reset.

I moved my script to "/usr/local/bin" and referenced it in TryExec
without an explicit path. Enlightenment appears in the menu but does not
run as above. The script does not appear to execute.

The script works when executed from a user terminal.

This particular build is obviously FUBAR but I wonder if some
experimental code sneaked into it. The gnomes might be planning to make
a more comprehensive test for this in the future and it might be worth
keeping an eye out for a change. Meantime, it might be a good idea to
remove "TryExec" from the file. XFCE does not use it.
