To me is the exact opposite. actually this is perfectly correct. it's how it should be. for htop to display anything OR get any input it HAS to go through terminology (all IO goes through it) so if htop had higher priority "technically" (conceptually) it can slow the IO down and delay it. you DONT want this. you WANT to throttle and slow down the child process in favor of the parent. same with E.
