in case the systray from enlightenment doesn't work for you, there are 2
apps that do the same work: trayer and stalonetray

I've tried both but I like most trayer

ps: I don't know fedora, but debian has a network manager package for KDE
named network-manager-kde (duh!). The binary is named knetworkmanager. But
the original works nicest (at least to me)
