The ibar is on a shelf. If I set the shelf style to invisible, the back of the ibar appears black when composite is not enabled. I just tried adding it as a gadget, and the transparency works find without composite. Using the shelf helps with layout and centering (I have an ibar and ibox together in the bottom center of my screen, the ibox reacts the same with respect to the invisible shelf style. Both are using the "plain" style).

I'll poke around some. The graphics device works fine for everything else I ask it to do, so I'm still thinking I just don't have something set up optimally on my end. > > rob > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What You Don't Know About Data Connectivity CAN Hurt You This paper provides an overview of data connectivity, details its effect on application quality, and explores various alternative solutions. http://p.sf.net/sfu/progress-d2d _______________________________________________ enlightenment-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-users
