That would be ideal but is not always the case. The interface into e that 
themes use can change, and non-updated themes can fail to some degree. In my 
experience, usually some feature of the themes stops working, i.e. it doesn't 
crash the whole session. As with all things, YMMV.

Yes. I've never had a problem with this.
