I disagree with this statement. e17 is definitely not un-userfriendly. In fact, the level of customization that you can do with just the graphical customization dialogs is pretty extensive. The default settings are something that I don't like but it doesn't take much effort to change that. The range of customization options present allow you to make your windows behave as close as possible to how you want them to behave. So, if one doesn't want to spend time customizing, then one shouldn't complain either. You can see the amount of hard work and thought the devs have put into the configuration dialogs. I have seen these dialogs change multiple times over the years. The end result is that the dialogs fit even in very small screens (such as 640x480). Try doing the same with the configuration dialogs of other DEs. Some things such as the arrangement of modules on shelves remain the same (for me at least) irrespective of how many times I switch between a 640x480 and 1680x1050 screen. (I change my screen resolution so that I can watch *smooth* netflix video in virtualbox). Such simple things are invisible and when they "just work" no one notices. The above are just two instances that I can recall right now. Most of the time you don't even notice when things work and you are not presented with any surprises. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
