One thing I just noticed:

>From the menu that comes up when left-clicking on the desktop, if I
select "Settings" -> "Shelves", it brings up the "Shelf Settings"
dialog.  From here, if I push the "Add" button, it adds a shelf on
my current monitor.  I.e., this works as I would expect.

However, if I do "Desktop" -> "Shelves" -> "Add a Shelf", the new
shelf shows up on the *other* monitor.
