I've been looking for a setting to quell desktop icons in e17 since I first tried it on my OpenSuSE 11.0 installation. But I haven't found it yet.
I don't have much use for icons. Especially the ones that clutter up my view of whatever eye candy I've set as my desktop wallpaper. It *_was_* a low priority aggravation that I wanted to figure out without help. But thanks to: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=916690 I've been able to add e17 to my kubuntu 8.10 installation And my first view of it's desktop made me despair of bothering with all the nice background images I like to use: https://home.comcast.net/~jtwdyp/fileShuttle/e17screenshot.png Please tell me it's possible to tell e17 not to put icons on my desktop!
